Manhattan was mobbed with fashion week revelers and art fiends taking to NYC streets and Wednesday’s kick-off to the Green Label Art Gallery series was no exception. To celebrate the lauded mastery of GLA collaborator Pushead—the first of the six part series—a 300-strong throng came through to party.
The etnies Showroom Gallery throbbed with an excited crowd that quenched their thirst on Blue Moon beer and Mountain Dew and filled their bellies with the delectable, culinary sorcery of caterer Samantha Kim. And of course, they also got to bask in the glory of the San Francisco artist himself who rarely makes public appearances.
Special Pushead Mountain Dew giclees were available for sale as well as a limited edition series of artist proof prints. The event proved to be a tractor beam for sparkly glitterati and art bold names, among them Carlo from Paper, our friends from Freshness who kindly provided some of the photos below, graf god Eric Haze, Jennifer Wannarachue of Worship Worthy, Peter Oasis, Matthew from Nooka, CtotheJL, Riggs from Shady Records, Jen.Lu, Lev from Toy Tokyo, Sacha Jenkins from ego trip, Chris Atlas from Island Def Jam, and Dave Ortiz of DQM fame.
