Takuya Sakamoto, photographer and messenger, brings his collection of work “New York Bike Dreams” to view tonight. Tak’s work gives a glimpse into the bike messenger world and street-scenes of New York City. Opening is March 27th, 7-10pm at 2 Great Jones St. NY, NY.

There was a great turnout at the Alice Art Show opening. The mix of art was diverse and very slick going off the Wonderland theme. Some artists were on hand including Johnny Siu (above) shown here checking out Naoshi’s tinted sand art piece. Thanks to Matt and Katsu at Compound Gallery for helping make it all possible.
Peat Wollaeger GLA Launch in SF

Peat Wollaeger’s event celebrating his “Billy Hill” Mountain Dew bottle was a hit this past weekend. Friendly Luchadores roamed about, occasionally picking guests up into the air. DJ Ivan provided everyone sounds from the tables. It was a special night in San Francisco.

The Aaron Rose directed art documentary Beautiful Losers will open this weekend at SXSW. Fans of stop-time animation and awesome art direction should really check out Madame Tutli-Putli. This animated short was recently nominated for an Academy Award. Directed by Montreal filmmakers Chris Lavis and Maciek Szczerbowski, the film was produced by the National Film Board of Canada. Both parts are now on Youtube, check it out.
