Artist Geoff Mcfetridge recently started his own wallpaper company called Pottok. Originally intended to be a liason between artists and retailers, Pottok now offers customers a chance to throw up their favourite designs on their walls. All of the wallpapers are hand screened in LA and printed on recycled paper, using water-based inks without the use of any chemical waterproofers, making them and eco-friendly decor choice.

“abcdefghijklmnop qrstuvwxyz” is a sweet little movei about Job and Gradus Wouters – two brothers who are deeply into creating letters. Spontanious jam sessions in their studio inspired them to make this video about the fun of drawing letters. Anyone into handtype should really check this out.

Denis Darzacq’s The Fall is a photo series capturing French youth defying gravity for a moment. These images weren’t the result of tricky computer rendering. Instead, Darzacq turned to break-dance choreography to make it all possible.

Teller Takes on Ukraine
Tuesday, February 12th, 2008
If you’re in NYC this week, you have to check out photographer Juergen Teller’s exhibit entitled Ukraine at the Lehmann Maupin Gallery. Teller was commissioned, along with four other artists, by the Pinchuk Art Centre to interpret the Ukraine for the 52nd International Venice Biennale 2007. Many of you many know him for his Marc Jacobs commercial work, but this time around Teller chose to employ the city as a setting for a W Magazine fashion shoot, mixing fashion, still-lives, and portraits of ordinary people as a way of representing his fantasy of a country marked by a brash youthful energy and an obsession with capitalism. Should be an inspiring showing.

Looking Forward To Summer
Friday, February 8th, 2008
Each year PS1 in Brooklyn opens up their courtyard to a design competition. This year’s winners have designed a layout that will turn the courtyard into a summer garden. New York Magazine details their inspiration for the summer occasion, where the designers site influences like urban immigrant gardening and the trend toward local food sourcing. We’ll be excited to see it in the flesh this Summer, when PS1 invites some great musicians and DJs to play in the courtyard at PS1 Warmup.
